    Is there WiFi, or any other internet facilities, available at the hotel?

    Free WiFi is available in the lobby, lounge, restaurant, bar and poolside.

    Does the Indian Ocean Lodge organise weddings?

    Yes you can organise to get married at the Indian Ocean Lodge please let us know if you are planning to get married in the Seychelles and we can make available all the various options in planning your special day. The venue can be on the beach, under a tropical Gazebo covered with palm leaves and flowers or in the tropical garden.

    What is there to do during the day?

    Every day can be a day of excitement for you, going on varying adventures like 3 island cruise with beach picnic, tour the islands Jurassic forest, the Vallé de Mai and search for the endangered Black Parrot, swimming on the best beaches in the world like Anse Lazio, spend the day visiting the most photographed scenery on La Digue Island, drive around the island and find secluded beach for only you, and that is only the first 4 days.

    Do you have evening entertainment?

    The Indian Ocean Lodge does have entertainment on at least 4 nights of the week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and Saturday, on one of the nights, the Creole Night, we have traditional dancing.

    Are there any dangerous or poisonous animals in Seychelles?

    Being an island surrounded by ocean we do find Jellyfish, Stonefish, and Barracuda. If you are unsure of what to do, follow the guides and guidelines of the professionals who will always keep you safe. Insects like wasps, bees, centipedes are common and harmless when left alone. Geckos and lizards are found everywhere and keep the mosquitoes away.

    Can we book excursions to other beaches and islands?

    Our friendly staff are happy to give you the right advice regarding what's on offer on and around Praslin and we can assist in booking your excursions. However, for your conveniencce we recommend that you talk excursion sales representatives who visit the hotel every morning and evening, as they will be able to book your excursions on the spot and answer any questions you have regarding what's on offer.

    Are there mosquitoes at your hotel?

    We have mosquitoes but they do not carry any illness. The hotel fumigates the premises on a monthly basis, but we also have available insect repellents and colourful wristbands, that also keep sandflies away.

    Do you offer any watersports at the hotel?

    If you would like participate in watersports, we recommend taking our shuttle bus to Cote D’Or, where you can enjoy parasailing, jet-skiing, water-skiing, diving and windsurfing. For great photos you can also go trekking across the mountains to some of the loveliest beaches.

    Is the beach in front of the hotel accessible year-round?

    It is always great to swim at Grand Anse Beach and for most part of the year it is a lovely sandy beach with fine white sand. However ,the South-East trade wind, between May and October normally creates seasonal movements of seaweed onto the beach, Please note that during this time frame, we recommend that one makes use of our daily shuttle to the Cote d'Or coast, which runs from the hotel to Cote D’or Beach on the opposite side of the island, which offers better swimming conditions at that time of year.

    Can you recommend any good restaurants in Praslin?

    The Hotel has the Blue Marlin Restaurant that is renowned for the cuisine, but there are many around Praslin that are almost as good and our reception will gladly assist and make your booking.

    Can we see turtles on the beach whilst we stay at your hotel?

    Turtle nesting season is usually from November to March. A walk down the beach will almost definitely show evidence of this. So keep an eye out.

    Where can we eat authentic local Seychelles Cuisine?

    The Blue Marlin restaurant is renowned for the best Creole cuisine in the Seychelles.From fine dining to Buffets we have it all and even more amazing is that we are flexible. If there is something you would like to try we do our level best to accommodate you.
